 We are proud to be Family-Owned and Operated since 1990!

Fueled by passion and a love for being out on the water, Captain Jim, founder of Chesapeake Crab Connection began his crab days as a waterman along the shore of Annapolis and Kent Island. Whitehall Bay and the Severn River marked his prime spots for sinking pots and setting lines.Through years of successes and failures Captain Jim created two local storefront while also shipping out live and steamed crabs all across the country. 

Now, three decades later, Chesapeake Crab Connection is able to provide sustainable seafood nationwide, while also growing the two local storefronts. That ONE boat and crabber is now a fleet of over 15 boats manned with 60 crabbers. 

Still family owned and operated, the business has been acquired by the Koenig Family, Father, Son, and Nephew. Continuing to share these fresh products nationwide with the goal to make high quality seafood accessible to everyone.
